Get ready for a big change... I just finished fixing the new layout. Now, if you really really really liked this one, I'm not very sure that you'll like the next one. I like it. It has a picture of my orchid in it. It's a good thing I took a picture of the orchid when I got it, because it's wilting now. I have an anti-green thumb or something. But the thing is I'm following all the instructions perfectly... water once a week, fertilize every other week, high nitrogen in the fertilizer, filtered light, and a gentle air current. And yet it dies. Oh well. Once I have the new layout up (which might take quite a while, because I have to fix all the image sources and put all the links and things back into it.) I'll tell you all about my first day back to school... aren't you excited? Agh, school starts in less than a week... I guess I should get my stuff together, I haven't touched most of it since June. And I think I lost the package my school sent me. I don't want to go back to school... this stay at home all day and do nothing thing is really working out for me. I wonder if one can professionally play neopets... I hate the font Times. Just had to let you know. Boy Meets World is back on, weirdly enough. I thought it would be gone for good after that ridiculously long run... but it's back on Family. However, they're showing the good episodes, back when he's in grade six. But they're being misleading with the opening - they show the show's last opening, with it's first episodes. Weird. I'm very bored and irritated right now... heat bores and irritates me, so I guess that's it. Actually, it's not the heat, it's the humidity. (stupid digimon episode...) It's been raining for most of the day. I'm also irritated because the beauty contest on neopets is a big sham, but I should have known that before. Naive me. Below you find thumbnails of the pictures that I have drawn and coloured for the contest... And as you can see, they are all quite well done, if I do say so myself. Okay, you're right, I was just plugging my own artwork... I have no shame, and I don't really care. I hope know one cares that the uni (the horse thing) is really a traced Ponyta (that pokemon thing) with wings and a horn ^.^;; ...Anyway, the problem is, this stuff, even though it's better than a lot of stuff in the beauty contest, (seriously, it is) loses to the other stuff because it's a big popularity contest for the people who enter the contest, not a competition based on how good the artwork is. So that's why there's no more beauty contest for me. On a lighter note, the webspace I signed up for months ago is finally working! It's at violette.port5.com. I'm not sure what to do with it... I could go Sailorsaturn shrine, which I tried but got bored of, or I could go Pingu site, which I'm not really sure how to go about doing, or I could go any number of ways with a ReBoot site. I could make a shrine to SCSI! Or Scuzzy, as the captions put it. Or to Frisket. Frisket is cool. Or even Mike the TV... oh the possibilities. Is this an excuse for me to set up a poll? I've got to rent a clarinet pretty soon... summer is coming to an end. I'm going to be strangely to the point today, because I feel like it. We have tickets to the Ex, and we're going next Saturday (or maybe the Saturday after that, I don't remember.) Neopets is going well... I just got another trophy. I've become the kind of person who works only towards getting recognition... in the form of trophies and awards. People are awed by many trophies, even when they're stupid trophies like "Cheat! Champion". You know the game Cheat... it's so stupid. You can always tell when someone's cheating. I'm watching Seinfeld right now, and I don't get it. Kramer's throwing a millenium party, but... so is Newman?! Oh, what a crisis. Feeling exceptionally bored right now, so here's another quiz:
Actually, I just put in random answers (which I usually do on quizzes.) I got Elmo the first few times (shudder) but then I got Grover and Grover's cool so I kept him. Oh, 'tis to laugh. Hello again... neopets is down right now so here I am. ^.^;; Bad news... bad, bad news. The apocalypse is coming, in the form of XHTML! I must get used to all attributes in quotations, all coding lowercase, closing every tag... waitasecond, I already do that. Hooray for XHTML! But I don't get this thing about closing breaks. How on earth to you close a break? Cool, green. Ooh, look at the stolen paintbrush swirlies....
Also known widely as the Fire Bird, the phoenix is a profound symbol of the circle of life. It has a life cycle of 500 to 600 ears and after that amount of time, it sets itself on fire and dies in the flames. Then after three days, it rises again from the ashes. It is a completely benign creature who lives in dew. It is said that the phoenix has a beautiful melidous song which grows ever more mournful as its life comes to an end. It is a symbol of the sun and immortality. The phoenix is a very worthwhile beast. I think I took that quiz before... I got phoenix that time too. Maybe I'm Fawkes! ^.^ Eeeeg... I found this and I thought it was cool. Hello again... it's been a pretty long time since the last entry. Anyway, I'm watching Sailormoon right now... it's one of the old DiC episodes. The one when Raye's grandfather's rainbow crystal is taken and stuff. I don't like DiC. I don't like Cloverway. I want subs, but my dad won't let me 'waste money' on them. Oh well, it probably would be a waste anyway. I keep saying I'll put up new stuff on my site, but I never do... I've finished a "Which Hindu Goddess Are You Similar To?" quiz thing but I don't know what to say about the goddesses... I think I'll scrap that. Maybe I'll be unoriginal and do a "Which Sailor Soldier Are You?" Neopets gets boring after a while... especially when you've earned all the neopoints you can in one day. After that, I just watch my Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence @Home screensaver analyse data. I'm not finished one data unit yet. I think this entry calls for a quiz. I'll go find one... Here we go:
Agh, it's the hamster-rat thing... is it Hamtaro? Does your weblog own you? Guess where I am! Well, I'll have to tell you anyway... so you don't have to guess. It's pretty obvious, anyway. I'm at Centennial College right now. It's supposed to be digital animation camp, but the animation stuff is over. It's the last day, so I'm just surfing around and playing neopets. It was either this, or watch LOTR on Windows Media Player, (some guy burned it onto a CD and carries it around with him @.@) or watch TV. I didn't want to watch TV because it's daytime, and daytime TV sucks... other than Days, of course. I've actually got neopets open in the other window, but I'm taking a breather from it right now. Methinks more than half the people in this room are on neopets. I've gotten two battledome challenges from the people beside me. I hate battling... it's boring. Reminds me of pokemon. Wow... sure has been a long time since the last entry. Don't worry, I'll start writing religiously once or twice a day... soon. Well, eventually. Between camp and neopets and TV, I haven't got any time. ^.^ So yeah... camp. I'm probably the oldest camper there. I think two of the volunteer assistants are just a few months older than me. But still, it's cool... even though I'm hearing that the program we're using, 3D Studio Max, is nothing compared to others like Maya and Houdini. But whatever. I have to tell you about my ten-second long project. I stole the idea from my sister. It's about this ghost thing that flies around, bumps into a wall, then flies around some more and goes right through the same wall. It works on so many levels. I was done my animation pretty quickly, so now all I do there is play around on Photoshop. My computer isn't even connected to the web, so I can't surf. But it's Photoshop 6. I only have 5.5. There aren't any differences that I've noted between the two. The counselors are very odd. The head guy, the one who organized the whole camp thing, is insane. That's pretty much all I can say. Then there's this other guy who does... well, I'm not exactly sure what he does, but he's got a sense of humor (like all of the counselors) but it's held back by his attempt to be nice to everyone. For example, where the others would say to a camper, "You are such an idiot", he would say something like "You're funny." Or something like that... I'm not sure what I'm talking about anymore. Then there's the digital animation counselor, who teaches stuff... she's cool. She works on video games. And then there's the Speical FX counselor, of whom I don't see very much. So today we went out to this animation studio. We took the subway... using public transit in a large group is never much fun, in my opinion. Brings back memories of Osgoode Hall (the city courthouse), the Art Gallery of Ontario, and several other downtown things that we went to in grade 8. Anyway, the studio was sorta boring. We went on a tour that was supposed to be an hour, but felt like about 15 minutes. Pretty anticlimatic. We walked a lot. Now my feet hurt. Hmm... haven't made an entry in a while. I've been very... preoccupied. That's right, preoccupied. Not with neopets... okay, with neopets. Not my fault. My newest project is an attempt to win the Site Spotlight. I worked some 15 entire minutes on this thing, and I don't think I've won. It's right here, if you want to see for yourself. I think they like content instead of beautiful layouts... crazies. Yesterday was so cool.... we went downtown and saw the Lion King musical. Which you must see. Even if you have already... see it again. It is so cool. But there was the same guy playing Young Simba as the last time I saw it (in March, I think) and it's still the same problem - this kid can't carry a tune. He can dance pretty well... but his singing leaves quite a bit to be desired. Young Nala was very good, though. Hello... I haven't made many entries because I'm re-addicted to Neopets... again. That's the third time I've gone back there. Anyway, yesterday was pretty insufferable... We went to this girl's... ceremony. Think the South Asian version of a Bat Mitzvah. We don't have them for boys, though. Lucky them. I was lucky, though. There weren't enough lamp-things, so I didn't have to parade around holding one. My sister had to, though. Haha... anyway, this girl... I've known her most of my life (her mom is my dad's cousin) but I still don't know her name. I don't think I knew it, ever. And no one will tell me it. I don't want to ask her, because I think that'd be kinda rude... Then we went to my other cousin's new condo. I think it's a condo. It looks like one. Their walk-in closet's lightbulb burned out when I turned it on. I didn't do it. My dad and sister were going on about physics and the cords of the ceiling fan vibrating. They're crazy. So today, we went bowling. I cannot stress how much I hate bowling. It's boring waiting for your turn, and then it's boring throwing out your arm when you go up. I don't like bowling. And then we had some KFC. They got a pizza too, for some reason. And then, I came downstairs to the computer and started playing, and then I came here and added an entry to my online journal. Wait, I didn't do that yet. Oh no... neopets has lured me back to their depths. It happens every summer. I'm too bored to do anything else. Oh well, it'll wear off in September. I hope. Anyway, Not much is happening. Really, nothing of note has happened since the last entry. Oh yeah, I made one of those tacky looking friendship bracelets from embroidery thread... the kind that you have to keep knotting, over and over again, to make. It took me 1 and a half hours to make. It was much too big to be a bracelet, and much too small to be a necklace. So I doubled it and now it looks like two bracelets. Woohoo. Mwahahahaha! I've come back. The other one has problems. Issues. Needs to see a psychiatrist. Just kidding - something's up with the script. Well, either that or portland is being stupid again and not letting me do anything. Probably the latter, because I didn't do anything to the script and it worked before... scripts can't just change, right? Oh, yeah, depends of the permission... I forget what they were. Whatever. That's in the past.
Cool, I have a falcon head. Okay, it's decided. I'll write in my greymatter journal until it runs out of space, and then I'll come back here. Sorry, but the interface here sucks and greymatter has all these cool buttons. It is confusing, though... all those templates... So, here's the link:A word to the wise: the layout is exactly the same. When you get there, the only thing that should change in the window is the text in this space... well, maybe a little bit more stuff. |
